About Constipation?
Constipation is a very common problem in young children that parents shouldn't be overly concerned about. Constipation usually occurs due to a diet that doesn't include an adequate amount of water and fiber, which is known to help maintain a normal bowel movement. Children who eat large amounts of processed foods, cheese, and meats may also often become constipated.

It's fairly simple to avoid this by making simple dietary changes that include more fiber-rich foods and drinking more water. This can help potentially avoid constipation whilst, helping your child maintain a healthy lifestyle.

  • Fewer bowel movements
  • Difficulty when going to the bathroom
  • Feeling bloated
  • Blood on the surface of hard stool
Sometimes, children may not go to the bathroom as they want to avoid the urge to use the toilet. In these cases, it's important to notice the signs of when they have constipation.
