What are Pubic Lice?
Pubic lice, otherwise referred to as crabs, are small insects that live on the body and in the pubic hair. They are commonly found on the genitals, but can also appear on coarse-haired body parts including the eyelashes, armpits, and beard. Close physical contact, such as sexual intercourse, or sharing of private items like clothing or bedding are the two main ways that these insects are spread. Adults are the most likely to have them, and those who have had several sexual partners are more likely to have them.
